macOS
The plugin does not appear in my DAW after installation.
First, confirm the files are in the right place:
- VST3:
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Jeesonic EQ Pro.vst3 - AU:
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Jeesonic EQ Pro.component
If the files are there, rescan in your DAW:
- Reaper: Options > Preferences > Plug-ins > VST > Re-scan
- Ableton Live: Live > Settings > Plug-Ins > Rescan
- Cubase / Nuendo: Studio > VST Plug-in Manager > Update
- Studio One: Studio One > Options > Locations > Plug-Ins > Rescan
- Logic / GarageBand (AU): quit and reopen the app; AU validation runs automatically on next launch.
macOS warns that the installer "cannot be opened" or "is from an unidentified developer".
The installer is notarized by Apple. If the warning appears anyway, right-click (or Control-click) the .pkg file and choose Open from the context menu. The warning then includes an Open button that lets you proceed.
Alternatively: System Settings > Privacy & Security > scroll down to the blocked item > click Open Anyway.
Logic Pro says the AU failed validation.
Open Terminal and run:
auval -v aufx EqP1 Jees
If it prints errors, reinstall the plugin using the latest .pkg from jeesonic.de. If the error persists, please send the full auval output when you contact us.
How do I uninstall EQ Pro on macOS?
Run the uninstaller that came with the .pkg: open the mounted installer, find Uninstall Jeesonic EQ Pro.command, double-click it, and confirm in Terminal. It removes both the VST3 and the AU.
Or delete the files manually:
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Jeesonic EQ Pro.vst3~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Jeesonic EQ Pro.component
Windows
The plugin does not appear in my DAW after installation.
Copy Jeesonic EQ Pro.vst3 to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\
Then trigger a rescan in your DAW:
- Reaper: Options > Preferences > Plug-ins > VST > Re-scan
- Ableton Live: Live > Settings > Plug-Ins > Rescan
- Cubase / Nuendo: Studio > VST Plug-in Manager > Update
- Studio One: Studio One > Options > Locations > Plug-Ins > Rescan
Windows shows an error when loading the VST3.
EQ Pro embeds the Visual C++ runtime and needs no separate Redistributable. If your DAW reports a load error, make sure you are using the 64-bit version of your DAW, and that you downloaded the VST3 for Windows from jeesonic.de. A fresh download and DAW restart resolves most cases.
How do I uninstall EQ Pro on Windows?
Delete the file from the VST3 folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Jeesonic EQ Pro.vst3
No registry entries or additional files are left behind.
General
Does EQ Pro phone home or send any data?
Once per day the plugin checks for a new version by fetching a small JSON file from jeesonic.de. This request carries your plugin version, operating system, and format (VST3 or AU). No personal data, no account, no tracking. You can turn it off at any time in the plugin's settings menu (gear icon).
A new version is available. How do I update?
Download the latest installer from jeesonic.de and run it. It replaces the existing files. Your DAW presets and settings are not affected.
Where are my presets stored?
- macOS:
~/Library/Application Support/Jeesonic/EQ Pro/ - Windows:
%APPDATA%\Jeesonic\EQ Pro\
